Dr. Sarah Martin
General Dentist
Dr. Sarah Martin has practiced dentistry in Sussex since 2010.
Dr. Sarah graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2005. The following year, she completed a 1-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency. Dr. Sarah fulfilled her active duty Army commitment, providing dental care to our troops in Landstuhl, Germany and Iraq.
She currently lives in Lisbon with her husband, Robin (CPA), and Lincoln, a very loving and loved cat. Dr. Sarah is fortunate to have raised 2 wonderful children. Brett graduated from USC with an accounting degree. India earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sarah is a real person. She is not afraid to try new things or work hard. She understands the daily struggles people encounter and is empathetic to their personal situations. She cares deeply for her family, friends, patients, and local community. Dr. Sarah loves learning about new techniques and technologies that enhance patient comfort and care. Delivering quality care in a relaxing environment is very important to Dr. Sarah.
In her free time, Dr. Sarah enjoys cooking large quantities of food, gardening, painting, and spending time with loved ones. She loves participating in Sussex events and giving back to her local community. She proudly sponsors several local organizations and Hamilton High School clubs that embrace the family values that make this community special.
Dr. Julie Paynter
General Dentist
Dr. Julie earned a Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from Oregon Health & Science University in 2002. Following graduation, Dr. Julie completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency at the Naval Dental Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. Dr. Julie fulfilled her active duty commitment to the U.S. Navy in 2006. She practiced dentistry for 16 years in Oregon as the owner of a dental practice, before moving to Wisconsin in 2022 to be closer to family.
Dr. Julie’s husband Mitch is also a dentist. They are parents of three wonderful children.
Janelle
Dental Hygienist
Janelle started working in the dental field as a dental assistant in 1998. She graduated from WCTC’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2007 and has worked as a dental hygienist in Sussex ever since.
Janelle holds certifications in local anesthesia and laser treatment. She obtained these to provide a better and more comfortable cleaning experience to her patients. Janelle is passionate about providing thorough and comprehensive care, while also educating patients on how to practice better dental homecare techniques.
During her free time, Janelle loves being outdoors, kayaking, and camping.

Gina
Dental Hygienist
Gina graduated from MATC with a degree in dental hygiene in 2019. She began her career in the dental field as a hygiene assistant and patient care coordinator. While performing these roles, she discovered her passion for helping patients achieve and maintain smiles they can be proud of. Gina enjoys educating patients on different home care techniques and recommending products that will work best for their specific needs.
When she’s not working, Gina enjoys camping, gardening, cooking, and snowmobiling. Gina also likes traveling and strives to visit at least one new place every year.
Jaelyn
Dental Assistant
Jaelyn began working as an assistant in May 2021. She finds every workday rewarding because she loves seeing patients in the town she grew up in and making a positive impact in their lives. Jaelyn has gained a lot experience that will give her a head start when she begins hygiene school.
During her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and hanging out with friends. Jaelyn played college softball for 2 years and stays active playing in a recreational league.

Sandy
Insurance & Scheduling Coordinator
Sandy has been working in the dental field as a receptionist, dental assistant, and treatment coordinator since 1995. If you have any questions related to scheduling an appointment, billing, or understanding a dental procedure, please give us a call and Sandy will happily answer them. Sandy looks forward to providing excellent customer service to you in our office and on the phone.
In her free time, Sandy enjoys spending time with her husband of 25+ years and two amazing children. She also loves fishing and experimenting with new recipes.
Lisette
Insurance & Scheduling Coordinator
Lisette began working in the dental field in 2014. She loves meeting patients, helping them to schedule appointments, and answering any insurance related questions they have.
Lisette graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities before moving back to Wisconsin. She enjoy traveling, swimming, singing, and spending time with friends.
Brett
Accountant
Brett started working as an accountant at Martin Family Dentistry in 2020 and really enjoys working with his mom, Dr. Sarah. He strives for our office to provide patients with the best possible experience, while improving the health of our community.
Brett graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in accounting in 2017. He worked as an accountant in healthcare and as an auditor in public accounting. In his free time, Brett enjoys climbing, powerlifting, and playing disc golf. He’s a huge Packers and Bucks fan and loves going to games. Brett also enjoys playing board games with his girlfriend and friends.
